When is Rio Manso Camp open?

Rio Manso Camp operates from the beginning of November until the end of March, providing guests with the perfect seasonal experience in the stunning Patagonian wilderness. We are closed during the off-season, ensuring our guests enjoy the best of what nature has to offer during our operational months.

Can I visit Rio Manso Camp with children?

Children are very welcome at Rio Manso Camp. The camp is designed to be enjoyed by families with children of all ages. However, the rafting to the Argentine-Chilean border, called Rafting Frontera (Class III/IV) activity is only suitable for children aged 14 and older. Families with children between 5 and 13 years old can enjoy a less demanding rafting experience on the Villegas River.
A special children’s menu is available upon request; please inform us at the time of booking.

How does the all-inclusive program work?

The all-inclusive Glamping experience (3d-2n) program at Rio Manso Camp includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner, all served according to a set schedule. Throughout the day, guests may also enjoy coffee, drinks, and cocktails. During lunch and dinner, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
Outside of meal times, guests can access a beverage and snack menu and may purchase additional food and drinks of their choice.

Can I get to Rio Manso Camp in my own vehicle?

Yes, you can reach Rio Manso Camp by your own vehicle. The camp is located 90 kilometers from the city of Bariloche, with 30 kilometers of gravel road. The approximate travel time is 2 hours.
Our staff will provide the exact location and directions to help you reach the camp independently.

Can I visit Rio Manso Camp without a prior reservation?

Access to Rio Manso Camp is only possible with a prior reservation, as the camp is a private property with limited capacity and offers personalized, tailor-made experiences.

Will there be vegetarian or gluten-free menu options?

Rio Manso Camp’s kitchen team can accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free dietary requirements, provided that guests inform us at the time of booking.
Please note, our kitchen is not entirely gluten-free.

Will I have Wi-Fi or cell phone signal during my stay?

Rio Manso Camp offers Wi-Fi, though due to its rural location, the signal may be weak or intermittent.
Cell phone signal is also limited and varies depending on your service provider.

Will I have access to 220-volt power?

Yes, the lounge and restaurant area has a 220-volt charging station where guests can charge devices such as cell phones, cameras, tablets, and laptops.

How do the toilets and showers work?

Both toilets and showers at Rio Manso Camp are available 24 hours a day with hot water.
The showers and toilets are shared among guests and are separated by gender.

What are the temperatures like at Rio Manso Camp?

November to December (Spring/Summer): Average temperatures range from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F).

January to February (Summer): Days can be warm, with temperatures typically between 15°C and 25°C (59°F to 77°F), but there are occasional days that can reach up to 30°C (86°F).

March (Late Summer/Fall): Temperatures begin to cool down, ranging from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F).

What should I bring to Rio Manso Camp?

We recommend packing comfortable clothing suitable for varying temperatures, as it can be warm during the day and chilly at night.
Rio Manso Camp provides linen and amenities (soap, shampoo, and conditioner) for each guest.

Can I swim or bathe in the river?

Rio Manso Camp does not provide lifeguard services. Swimming in the river is at each guest’s own risk.
There are areas of calm water near the camp where guests can safely refresh themselves.

Is Rio Manso Camp pet-friendly?

To ensure the preservation of local wildlife and the natural surroundings, we kindly ask that pets and domestic animals be left at home as they are not permitted on the property.

Can I arrive by helicopter?

Yes, it is possible to arrive at Rio Manso Camp by helicopter. We welcome guests traveling by helicopter and also offer helicopter transfers to and from the camp. Please contact us in advance to arrange the details of your flight and transfer.
